About Me

I Am A Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Forever Student & Vegan Chef.

The word Sattva means ‘Purity’, or ‘Goodness’, and points to a place of true balance within the mind, body, and spirit, but the path is not linear, it is quite a thrilling ride! My mission is simply to share with you tools to support you on your path from my direct experience as a guide. Life will always be an adventure full of curveballs, but there are many supportive tools you have within reach- I help you access those tools in a nurturing way. I am here to support others in finding their unique balance point, and to enjoy all the sweetness that brings.

My journey began over a decade ago when I needed to be brought back in alignment with my body & spirit, and to condense a story filled to the brim with peaks & valleys, I will say the ride was turbulent, but laced with bliss and discovery through direct experience. Yoga found me, in an alchemical way of bringing together that which is necessary. For the first time in my life, I understood what the feeling of true alignment felt like. Of course, this is a fluid process that will ebb & flow. I look back with an extremely humbled heart, and amazed by the series experiences that have unfolded since I began this quest of figuring out how to thrive

The Practice

Yoga & Meditation

There are endless ways to practice yoga, or meditation, and we all have our own unique doorways. There are also many ways of creating a true sense of wellness, and our own version of that is to be celebrated. My goal is to create a safe and sacred space as I share tools of yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness to assist my clients on their path.

I build my yoga classes with the intention of thoughtful alignment, balance, and accessibility for all bodies. When guiding meditations, my intention is to create a nurturing container for my students to explore their consciousness, and to provide guided sessions based on the students’ unique needs and/or challenges.

Nourishment

In the Kitchen

We know food is medicine, and my goal is to teach others how to eat and live a Sattvic, Vegan lifestyle with ease. I provide my clients with non-pretentious, nourishing, cruelty-free, and positively delicious meals or meal plans. This is very much a part of the yogic path; I love empowering others to nourish themselves, and connect with earth medicine, while keeping that beautiful word ‘Sattva’ in mind.

Testimonials

Meditation 1:1 Coaching Session Review

“The meditation class with Kayla opens the path to the state of equanimity and calm. Kayla is authentic and has a true passion for yoga.

She inspires me. Her mediation session is healing and recharging your mind/body. Kayla facilitates an experience of the self and opens us up to our own potential and boundless possibilities. As a teacher she looks for the opportunities to see that light radiating within people as they connect within themselves.”
– Ziba Behnam

"Kayla displays a huge heart of compassion and is evident the minute you sit to talk with her. She clearly displays her love and respect towards humanity and through her teaching in Yoga, hopes for subtle shifts or awareness within the process of our thinking and reaction to life. She defends the procurement of animals and respect of all living beings. Her broad view is seeing the ecological makeup of all species living together harmoniously and that neither one is more valuable or greater than the other, but all species are intended and have purpose. On the surface, Kayla may appear as the typical California Girl, but below is a warm, kind, thoughtful Yogini who is simple but deep. She is a keen listener, and generally, her input takes your mind to another dimension you may have not thought of. She is resourceful and adaptive, and once was called upon to teach a certain type of yoga which she handled at best in her own way. She did not stray away from the challenge but met it head-on doing her best. Kayla will definitely be one of the people leading the progressive way to the future in Health & Nutrition!"

"Kayla shares her knowledge and passion for yoga from her heart. She genuinely cares and that is felt. She shares what is true to her, which to me embodies wisdom on the level of the heart more so than just the intellectual understanding of things... I see Kayla as a woman owning her strength and truth which is what she empowers me to do to."

"I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Kayla Freudenberg, a vegan and vegetarian chef I have had the pleasure to employ. Kayla has wonderful talent and was the head chef at my yoga retreat in November 2016. She prepared various breakfast meals, lunch on the go and creative dinners. Kayla has a flair for putting ingredients together to come up with tasty new vegan and vegetarian style recipes. I’ve recommended her services to several friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. "

The Un-Recipe for Hummus
